A precious moment splits your smile
From when your face begins to slide.
Eleven minutes splits that breath
From when the ambulance arrives.
An hour and forty minutes pass
Before a nurse is at your side.
With tenderness she takes your pulse,
Looks at her watch. And then you died.
In measurement of time and space,
Your passing lacks a feather’s weight.
